To make sure that we score courses properly, we pay a lot of attention to the reviews students leave on courses and how many students are taking a course in the first place. This course has a total of 372 students which left 9 reviews at an average rating of 4.78, which is average.
We analyze course length to see if courses cover all important aspects of a topic, taking into account how long the course is compared to the category average. This course has a length of 1 hours 36 minutes, which is pretty short. This might not be a bad thing, but we've found that longer courses are often more detailed & comprehensive. The average course length for this entire category is 2 hours 51 minutes.
This course currently has a bestcourses score of 5.3/10, which makes it an average course. Overall, there are probably better courses available for this topic on our platform.
In this class, I will walk you through, step-by-step, how to draw and paint a close-up of a beautiful, vibrant flower using Viviva Watercolors.
We will begin by learning how to accurately measure and draw from a photo reference, though you are free to embrace as much or as little of this accuracy as you wish.
Then we will do a bit of practice with the paint before applying it to our drawing. We will use different techniques to achieve a watery, blended background, as well as vibrant, velvety-textured petals, and lastly, the fine stippled flower center.
We will “noodle” it until we are satisfied, knowing we can practice techniques before committing them to our paintings, take the class multiple times, and on occasion, re-work our paintings to feel more satisfying. We will approach this entire experience with a mindset of openness, learning new things, and having a great time. We will finish off with an optional signature and a hearty congratulations!
I hope you're as excited to try this as I was, and still am! Viviva Watercolors blew me away with their ease of use and application, but mostly with their vibrancy. I feel that they'll carry anyone away who chooses to try them. Let's dig in!
